Lesson # 11 Digital Manipulation
Big Idea - How will I use Adobe Photoshop to create an original, intriguing, surrealistic image that reflects my personal voice/narrative?
Purpose: To investigate Digital Image Manipulation Techniques using Adobe Photoshop software.
Learning Outcomes: Students will learn how to use their Photoshop skills to create an image from a number of images or by manipulating a single image. Students will research a method(s) and use this learning to create a finished product.

This is where you must start because this will drive the how, where, when, why.

Research Adobe photoshop methods you would like to explore to create the desired effect.

Research Artists that create highly digitally manipulated imagery to create narrative.

You may wish to take photographs for this assignment or use images already in your portfolio.

All images must be original to the author.

You must be working with a minimum of 3 layers. I am REALLY looking forward to learning from you!

Presentation and Evaluation:

Contact sheet(s) of images used in this challenge - It would be best if all images were authored by you but for this assignment if you would like use free adobe stock images that is fine. No random internet stealing, all images used must be licensed as free and must have enough pixel info to go to 13' by 19" at 300 DPI. Include all sources on your contact sheet.

2 finished products at 300 dpi. - One could be an accumulation of your process, learning and experimentation and the second pushes from this learning and shows strong evidence of narrative, student voice, strong compositional understanding etc. If so please outline this in your reflection.

Class Presentation outlining how you manipulated your images and what your final intent was in doing so.
