Photography 12 is designed to further develop skills learnt in Photo 11.  Students will be pushed to experiment, take risks and be ambitious in their pursuit of creating quality imagery and further develop their individual voice.  Students will explore the significance and power of photography within the larger context of the art world through examination of images and personal reflection.  This year will provide the foundation and prepare students to complete an AP 2D Design Portfolio.

• How to visualize and further develop skills in the areas of design, image development and composition

• Photo History and concepts

• Visualization of imagery

• Advanced Digital SLR and camera principles

• Analysis of form, composition and elements through the use of the principles of design

• Strengthen technical skills and broaden conceptual understanding

• Personal voice and narrative

• Advanced editing techniques using Adobe Photoshop  

• Artist study

• Layering and masking of multiple  images

• Studio Lighting

• Photojournalism/storytelling/visual narratives 

• Location Lighting/painting with light timed exposures

• Completion of a concentration or study

• Completion of a print quality portfolio
