Double Exposure

BIG IDEA  -  WHAT IS BEHIND THE MASK?

I thought it might be really interesting to create a narrative using the multiple exposure method that speaks to the idea of "what is behind the mask".

I realize the obvious is lips, chin, nose............. :)

THINK - What does "the mask" symbolize to you? What does it truly hide about you? What are your wishes and dreams for the future? What will you be excited about when the mask is no longer required? What do you want people to see? What have you missed?

A lot of contemporary artists have used the mask in art works to cover and bring awareness to the importance of mask wearing but few have tackled the idea of "what is behind, what is concealed."

Double Exposure

In film and photography double exposure is a technique in which a piece of film is exposed twice. The resulting photographic image shows the second image superimposed over the first. This technique can be used to create ghostly images or to add people and objects to a scene that were not originally there. Using Photoshop’s editing capabilities, a “fake” double exposure can be created with your digital photographs.
