Big Idea: How can colour harmony affect overall mood?

Editing

Using Adobe Photoshop to learn how to use an overlay layer to dodge and burn.

Using Adobe Photoshop to learn how adjust hue and saturation enhance an image.

Using Adobe Photoshop to learn how to sharpen aspect of an image.

Use of the eyedropper tool to pull dominate colours from images, increase canvas size and create a palette.
Assignment: Discover the magic of colour composition in photography by learning harmony rules and colour psychology to create images that evoke emotion.
Part 1 - Working with compositional rules (leading lines, rule of thirds, framing etc.) Shoot images the scream colour! Explore, Explore, Explore!!!!
Then - Edit, analyze, examine and extract dominate colours (in class demo).

All must be edited to enhance using the above methods,

Dominant colours extracted and arranged in a palette either along the side or bottom of the image (Refer to in class demo and above examples).

Primary Colors: Red, yellow, and blue are what we call “pure colors.” They are not created by the combining of other colors.
Secondary Colors: A 50/50 combination of any two primary colors.
Example: Red + Yellow = Orange.
Complementary Colours - Two colors that are on opposite sides of the color wheel. This combination provides a high contrast and high impact color combination – together, these colors will appear brighter and more prominent.
Tertiary Colors: A combination of a primary color and secondary color at various ratios. Example: Blue + Green = Anywhere from a turquoise to dark green.
Analogous Colors - sit next to each other on the color wheel. These can often a warm or cool vibe
