Marisol Escobar was born in Paris and spent her childhood in South America, with her Venezuelan parents. She followed in the tradition and influence of Picasso and was one of the first artists to create sculptures from found objects. Marisol reveals personality through the use of boxy forms and 3D heads. Her work expresses the individual personalities of her subjects.




George Segal, a New Jersey artist, creates a sense of emotional power by placing his white plaster figures in realistic environments. The power of his work lies in its visual presence established by the contrast created by white figures against the dark real world environment.
